The Galway Volunteer Centre (GVC) is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. The Centre is based in Galway city and covers both the city and county.


Who is involved?
The Galway Volunteer Centre (GVC) is a member of the growing national network of centres supported by Volunteer Centres Ireland.  The GVC is registered as a company limited by guarantee and is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors made up from representatives from:

The Galway Association, The Gaf Youth Café, Galway Youth Federation, Galway Simon Community, Autism West, NUI Galway, Galway Youth Information Centre, Ceifin and Nortel.

Donncha Foley is the Development Officer and Ruth Fagan is the Volunteer Liaison Officer.

Who funds the GVC?
Galway Volunteer Centre is funded by the Department of Community Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, and Galway City Council.
