Fundraisers – ISPCC
Tasks:
Volunteers
are needed to take part in specific fundraising campaigns including Flag Days,
County Colours Day, Pub Runs, Scratch Campaign. Also helping out for Community
Fundraising Events such as BBQ’s, Gigs, Sponsored Walks, Jumble Sales etc.
Tasks within this role include collecting money from the general public on the
street or in specific places such as shopping centres as well as helping with
community events.

The ISPCC are Ireland’s leading children’s charity and rely heavily on the
generosity of the general public and companies to raise 95% of its annual
income. This year we must raise over €5.1 million to maintain existing

Garden Assistants - Brigit's Garden
Tasks:
Help us look after our beautiful Celtic gardens and the surrounding woodland and meadows. We do a variety of outdoor work to suit volunteers experience and interests. It's fun, sociable and no experience is required.

Butterfly Monitoring - National Bio Diversity Data Centre
Tasks: Volunteers can set up
a local 1-2 KM walk where butterflies would be recorded once per week. There
are 32 species of butterfly in Ireland. It would be important to keep the same
route each week. Training Workshops are to be held in March for volunteers.

Tasks: Seek out patients who are lost or
unsure of where they are going. Provide directions. Assist with accompanying
patients to various wards/departments/clinics/out patients. Be actively
involved in engaging in a friendly manner in talking with patients. Maintain
strict confidentiality in relating to patients and visitors alike in accordance
with the Hospitals Confidentiality Policy. (Pilot Project in two areas (1) Main
