Tasks:

Assisting clients with learning disabilities in a variety of areas within the training centre including catering/restaurant skills and computer literacy.

Skills/ Qualities Needed:

Patience.
A flair for cooking.
Ability to work with people with learning disabilities.

Training and Support Provided: Yes

Time Required: Volunteer required to work 2 hours between 10 am to 3 pm on any weekday. Hours worked can be determined by volunteers.

Number of Volunteers Needed: 5

Location of Volunteering: Sandy Road, Galway

Extra Information: Training in catering whilst volunteering will be available. The volunteer can complete Fetac modules with clients if they wish to. Hot meals are available every day during working hours.
This opportunity may suit anyone wishing to gain experience in care work/ social support work or anyone with an interest in cooking or computers.
