Tasks:

Assist CE worker and volunteer to co-facilitate a small “singing club” for three (14 -17 year olds) with general learning difficulties.

Skills/ Qualities Needed:

Committed to working with young people in an inclusive, non-discriminatory setting. Willing to carry out duties in accordance with Children First Guidelines and willingness to complete Garda clearance application. Patience with young people with learning difficulties and must enjoy sing-a-long

The Rahoon Youth Project is managed by Youth Work Ireland –Galway and funded by the Young Persons Facilities and Services Fund through the City of Galway Vocational Education Committee. It delivers a range of after-school/school holidays developmental activities and educational supports to young people, living in the Rahoon area, in the 10 - 21 age range. The programme is designed to prevent misuse of drugs and alcohol, help young people to stay on at school and deliver access to holistic developmental pathways.
