Swimming Assistant - Irish Wheelchair Association

Tasks:

To help people with disabilities to learn how to swim and become water free.
Tasks will include getting in the swimming pool and assist people with disabilities.

 

Skills/ Qualities Needed:

To be a confident Swimmer
Knowledge of Halliwick Swimming Programme would be very beneficial.

 

Training and Support Provided: Yes

 

Time Required:

3 hours per week on a Monday evening. 6 month commitment required

 

Number of Volunteers Needed: 3

 

Location of Volunteering: Kilcornan Swimming Pool, Clarinbridge, Galway.

 

Minimum Age Requirement: None given

 

Screening: Formal Interview; Garda Vetting; Informal Interviews
