Child/Teen Mentor - ISPCC

Tasks:

To work with children and teenagers as a mentor in supporting them around emotional and behavioral difficulties they may have in a fun and non judgmental way

 

Skills/ Qualities Needed:

A interest in working with children, good listener

 

Training and Support Provided: An interest in working with children, good listener

 

Time Required:

One year commitment required for the role. 2-3 hours per week.

 

Number of Volunteers Needed:  15

 

Location of Volunteering:

East Galway

 

Minimum Age Requirement: 18

 

Screening:

Garda Vetting; Informal Interviews; References

The ISPCC is a children’s charity – that aims to see an Ireland where all children are heard and valued. It provides a number of unique services around the country such as Childline. The ISPCC works in the child centered ethos – putting children first.
