Tasks: To work alongside other adult
volunteer leaders in a Foróige Club setting once a week.
Enable young people to do things for themselves, build relationships with young
people based on trust and respect, work in partnership with young people in the
running of the club. Encourage young people to reach their full potential. Be a
positive role model and Make sure that the club is a safe place for everybody.
Share their knowledge and skills with the young people.
Skills/Qualities Needed: Leadership skills,
commitment to young people, patience and understanding, be a good listener,
ability to use ones own initiative, Honesty, be responsible and reliable.
Training and Support Provided: yes
Time Required: 1.5-2 hours per week,
usually between September and May
Number of Volunteers Needed: Approx 5 per club
