  • Do you need more volunteers in your organisation?
  • Would your organisation like to involve volunteers in the organisation in the future?

If so, you should register for “Recruiting and Selecting Volunteers” a new one-day course being provided by Galway Volunteer Centre for non-profit organisations working in Galway City and County.

This course will help you and your organisation to be more effective in getting the volunteers you want and keeping them once they start volunteering with your organisation.

Organisations on the day will be able to share their experiences of working with volunteers and learn from each other.

The  course explores the core principles of good practice for the effective recruitment and selection of volunteers. It is particularly suitable for those who have direct responsibility for the recruitment and selection process. By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Prepare an effective recruitment strategy that reflects the principles of good practice.

  • Design appropriate and meaningful roles for volunteers.

  • Develop and implement fair and effective screening and selection procedures.

The trainer for the day will be Zsuzsanna Varga, Training Service Manager with Volunteering Ireland, who has international volunteer management training experience.
