Assistant - Friendship Club
Tasks:
To help out at weekly meetings.
Helping out in the kitchen.
Taking part in activities with children, particularly after school activities, keeping area clean and tidy, helping to set up play room etc. We would love to get people who can provide entertainment and/or assist with outings and different events we organise.

Skills/ Qualities Needed: Friendly and outgoing nature. Welcoming to foreigners and new people to Galway.
Ability to work well with children. Opportunity to bring and develop any skills relevant to working with children.
Patience and kindness.

Support Provided: yes

Time Required: 2 hours from approx 3 pm - 5 pm on Wednesdays.

Number of Volunteers Needed: 2

Location of Volunteering: Methodist Church, Victoria Place, Galway.

Extra Information: The Friendship Club aims to offer friendship to newcomers from all over the world who have recently come to Galway. We are a non- demoninational organisation.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet and socialise with new people from all over the world who are new to Galway.
Minimum age requirement of 16. Character references will be requested.
